Lebanon Special School District Invitation to Bid

The Lebanon Special School District invites interested
contractors to submit Trade Contractor proposals for the
renovation and addition of their new Office Facility located at
401 North Castle Heights Ave. Lebanon TN 37090.

All Trade Contractors submitting proposals must bid packages as
outlined in the specifications and be licensed Contractors to
perform the type of construction they are bidding as required by
Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, Chapter 6, Amended by Chapter
9 and Chapter 406 of the Public Acts of 1977.

A Pre Bid meeting will be held at 10:00AM, Monday, December 5,
2016 at the office building at which time the existing buildings
will be open for inspection.

Bids will be accepted until 2:00PM local time Thursday, December
8, 2016 after which time they will be opened and read aloud. Bids
should be mailed or delivered to “Mr. Scott Benson, Director
Lebanon Special School District 701 Coles Ferry Pike Lebanon, TN
37087”. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the
contractor’s name, license number and classification, bid package
and all other information required by law on the exterior of the
envelope. Any bid submitted with improper or incomplete
information on the envelope is subject to rejection. A 5% bid
bond and 100% payment and performance bond are required. Use of
the Bid Form included in the specifications is mandatory.

The project consists of (but is not limited to) the following
major elements: Earthwork, concrete foundations, concrete slab on
grade, masonry block, brick, rough carpentry, finish carpentry,
roofing, doors and windows, drywall and wood studs, acoustical
ceiling, flooring, ceramic tile, fire sprinklers, mechanical
systems, plumbing, electrical, and miscellaneous accessories.
Refer to the Project Specifications for specific Trade Package
requirements. All bids must be for the complete packages.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids for any
reason, wave in formality or informality not required by law, and
accept any bid he considers in his best interest. Bids may not be
withdrawn for 120 days. Contract form for successful contractors
will be AIA A132 2009 edition. The General Conditions shall be
AIA A232 2009 edition.

Trade Contractors may obtain one (1) complete set of plans and
specifications upon receipt by Manous Design of a deposit check
in the amount of $100 for the cost of reproduction. Deposit
checks are fully refundable to all but the successful Trade
Contractors upon the return of the plans and specifications in
good order.
