Separate sealed bids for the construction of Bid Package #15 (General Works Package) ONLY related to a New Jail & Justice Center Facility for building formerly known as Rhea Medical Center located at 7794 Rhea County Highway, Dayton TN 37321. Bids will be received by the Rhea County Finance Department located at Suite 200, 2nd Floor, 375 Church Street, Dayton, TN 37321, until 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2019 and then at said place publicly opened and read aloud.

Bid Contract Documents are on file and may be examined at the office of the Architect: Kaatz, Binkley, Jones and Morris Architects, Inc. 1008 Charlie Daniels Parkway, P.O. Box 713, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122, the office of the Construction Manager, Dillard Construction, Inc., 2631 Rhea County Highway, Dayton, TN, 37321, the AGC Plan Room, 101 West 21st Street, Chattanooga, TN 37408, Dodge Data & Analytics via 615-630-2200, Builders Exchange of Tennessee via 865-525-0443 and the office of Rhea County Finance Department, Suite 200, 2nd Floor, 375 Church Street, Dayton, TN 37321. Additionally, copies of Bid documents are posted and can be accessed on the ShareFile Site of the Construction Manager, Dillard Construction, Inc., 2631 Rhea County Highway, Dayton, TN 37321 by contacting Darlene Edgeman at 423-775-1793 or dedgeman@dillardconstruction.com. Construction Manager is serving in a capacity as Advisor to the Owner. Owner will hold multiple prime contracts with awarded Trade Contractors. There is a General Works Package, which includes several sub tier categories of work.

A Jobsite Visit is scheduled for Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 10:00A.M. local time, at the building location of 7794 Rhea County Highway, Dayton TN 37321.

Rhea County, Tennessee reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the bidding and choose the bidder that the Owner believes to be in its best interest.

No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Rhea County Finance Department.

All bidders must be licensed and shall comply with all requirements of the State of Tennessee Contractor’s Licensing Act. Propsopective Bidders shall review and obtain other requirements of bid thru the issued bid documents. Five percent (5%) Bid security shall be required.

Note, the General Works Package (Bid Package #15) is being re-bid. Bidders shall utilize the original Drawings and Specifications dated October 26, 2018 and Addendum 01 dated November 21, 2018, Addendum 02 dated November 29, 2018, Addendum 03 dated December 3, 2018, and Addendum 04 dated December 4, 2018, when compiling their bid.
